Feticci Personali (1952–53)

A series of hanging “fetish” assemblages of animal fur, rope, wood, and various small objects, which made during his travels with artist Cy Twombly to Italy and North Africa in 1952 and 1953. These were ’s first works to involve suspension, none of which are known to be extant.
